Arabic translation

In an email dated 23 Feb 2012 Awny Amer from Egypt said:

"I'm writing this mail to let you informed that I'm in process now to start the translation of the MSC technique guide into Arabic language. It will be translated as part of the Evaluation & Research network association network in Egypt with the cooperation and support of UNICEF Egypt. So, I'm writing to you to get your Official permission before starting this process noting that all the copy rights including all the same information outlined in the original version developed on 2005. I just will add some of the MSC stories collected and selected in some of the above mentioned evaluations noting that some of them developed in Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan and Morroco with different INGOs as mentioned above."

 

Following a query re the addition of the new stories, Awny said " Regarding to your observation for the additional MSC stories examples, sure I'll develop in a separate annex to the translated document. I already was planning to do that. However, I can share you the English versions of these stories before translating it but this will be finally selected. I'm planning to attaching from 8-10 stories among the many MSC stories I have developed it during the different evaluations conducted as mentioned below. "

Spanish translation - Important Update

Pablo Rodríguez Bilella (ReLAC, Red de Seguimiento, Evaluación y Sistematización de América Latina y el Caribe) has kindly updated the Spanish translation with some necessary edits and he has also combined both parts into one document.

Urdu translation

2023 01 18 update: Omparkash Bhatia (ob_hyd@hotmail.com )says "I am interested to translate it into Sindhi. And also can provide support for proofreading of Urdu version. If Ehtisham ul Hasan is not able to spare time, I can also translate it into Urdu."

Ehtisham ul Hasan (ehasan@savethechildren.pk), working with Save the Children Pakistan, has expressed interest in an Urdu translation. If anyone else is interested please contact Ehtisham directly.

We are using the MSC technique for assessing the impact of BCC done by village volunteers in 100 villages of Lalitpur(Uttar Pradesh, India). The BCC is a part of the integrated village development project known as the Bal Bandhu Pariyojna which is being supported by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and Unicef. I wish the members to know that we have used a Hindi Translation of Rick's Guide for our assignment which was provided to us by Unicef. Further, I have also designed a sigle-page hand-out on the MSC technique in Hindi. I have tried to use simple words and put in a nutshell the MSC technique. The hand out can act as a useful tool for beginners ad stakeholders. We have reached the stage of meta and content analysis in our assignment. I wish to know if any content analysis reports are available with this group, because that would provide me with valuable insights as to how to go about analysing the stories.
